# Storyboard: spotify-concept-ad (The street plays along), revision 5 with the owner fixes (D-35), the draft-9 notes (D-38) and the black end card (D-44 to D-46)
The owner approved draft-11 and changed the ending (D-44): the end card is a fully black screen where the official Spotify logo enters with a fade and a 0.92 to 1.0 scale and lands on the final hit (D-45); the film carries no non-affiliation line, which lives in the gallery caption and the landing card (D-46). The storyboard as it stood for draft-11 is kept in storyboard-draft11.md.
After draft-9 the owner asked for four fixes (D-38): a shorter, living ending (D-39: the film is 35.0 s, the prompt's lower bound; the field returns for 1 s, the logo card from 28.5, the last hit at 32.5, the ring-out to 35.0, the end card closer with the street playing on the beat), a denser jam inside the frame (D-40: a second row of three cars and vans in the far lane, the stabs cycling one car per stab), camera pushes toward each machine as it joins (D-41) and less limiting at the drop (D-42, sound). The storyboard as it stood for draft-9 is kept in storyboard-draft9.md.
The owner approved revision 5, the six style frames, line B and 36.0 s (D-35), and asked for two fixes folded in before the build: a row of cars standing in a jam behind the hero car (D-36: the hero keeps the play circle and the kick; the cars behind it answer on the off-beats from the drop) and a closer camera with much less empty sky (D-37: taller buildings behind the action, the motorbike in the far lane right above the hero car, scales 0.7 to 1.1 instead of 0.56 to 0.75). Revision 5 as approved is kept in storyboard-rev5.md.
Revision 5 answers the stage 05 rework critic (ice/review/rework-04-05-critic.md, REVISE with 5 fixes) on revision 4, which answered the owner's feedback round on draft-7 (D-30, 2026-10-21): the same story, made clear. The street is a real drawn street built in code (D-31); every sound comes from a visible machine; the search answer is typed letter by letter; after the press the same machines play the song (D-32); the abstract lane grid is gone. What revision 5 changes: the machines are drawn 1.6 times larger and stand close together (the pile rig on the site right above the breaker, the motorbike in the far lane right after it), so all four fill the wide frames; the pile rig is redrawn with its pile going into the ground, a flash where the ram meets the pile and dust where the pile goes in; the site has solid hoarding instead of thin scaffold bars; the extra parked cars are gone; every word sits next to its source with a black outline; the line is rewritten so it explains the idea (D-34, for the owner to choose); the end card puts the logo, the field and the required line in a pure black sky above the rooftops with the whole street below (no floating panel, no light blobs). Revision 4 is kept in storyboard-rev4.md, revision 2 in storyboard-rev2.md.

Film type: brand film. Length 35.0 s (D-39; was 36.0 s, D-33; 33.5 s in draft-10). Master 16:9 1920x1080, English only (D-28). 30 fps. Clock: music-led, 120 BPM, bar 0 on the play press at 7.5 s; the noise (0 to 3.0 s) runs in free time.

Style: Drawn night street (D-31): a flat-vector night street in side view built by code (buildings with windows, street lamps, a construction site behind solid hoarding, a jam of cars and vans led by the hero car, a road breaker on a small excavator at the head of the jam, a pile rig, a motorbike with a helmeted rider), the machines drawn 1.6 times the building scale so they read on a phone, grey before the press, each machine taking its Spotify lane colour as it joins the song; Spotify interface rebuilt from captures; one style for the whole film
Palette: ground #121212, sky #0D0D0D to #1D1D1D, street greys #1A1A1A to #6A6A6A, field #1F1F1F, card #181818, ink #FFFFFF, ink muted #A7A7A7, accent #1ED760 (play circle and press ring only), lanes #FFA178 (horn), #608108 (hammer), #91EEDA (drill), #477D95 (engine), word outline #000000, end card sky and logo ground #000000 (D-18, D-24)
Characters: one motorbike rider in a full-face helmet with a dark visor (no face shown); no other people (a system pointer operates the rebuilt interface)

## Video direction block
- Palette system (D-18, kept): before the press the street is grey (no hue); after it each machine carries its lane colour on its moving part and a light pool on the ground under it: the car outline and head lamp coral #FFA178, the breaker arm and chisel mint #91EEDA, the pile rig ram olive #608108 (the mast stays grey, so the olive stays a small accent and never reads as Spotify green), the motorbike tank and helmet slate #477D95; from the drop the windows light in the four lane colours as the street equalizer. Spotify green only on the play circle and the press ring; the caret is white as in the web player capture; the green logo only on #000000 (D-24).
- Sound words: white with a black outline in the noise; once a machine plays, its word turns to the lane colour (still outlined in black: every word at least 4.5 to 1 against its outline). Each word sits next to its own source (HONK over the car bonnet at the horn, BRRRRT on the road beside the chisel, BANG beside the pile head, VRRRM behind the exhaust), never on a facade or a lamp, and inside a 5 percent frame margin; a word that would touch the frame edge fades before it does.
- Motion grammar and reveal model: one continuous camera along the street, nothing is cut. Before the press the machines fire out of time and each firing pops its word; after it every machine moves on the beat (16th-note grid): the car rocks and its horn waves ring on the kick, the chisel jumps and the dust bursts on the eighths, the ram drops onto the pile on 2 and 4, the exhaust puffs on the bass notes. After the press a word names its machine for that machine's first bar and once more for one bar from the drop; the rest of the time the machines play on their own. A joined machine keeps playing when the camera moves on; it is seen again in the wide frames at 13.5, 15.5 and 19.5. Reveals: the typed answer, the press, one machine joining per bar, the drop lighting the windows, the line in the sky, the sky turning black for the logo.
- Rhythm and held frames: declared holds: the Top result card read (5.75 to 7.5 s, the pointer travels), the breath (17.5 to 19.5 s, the street holds and dims, a riser), the logo alone on black after the final hit (33.5 to 35.0 s, the chord rings out, 1.5 s within look.py G3). The question in the field shows for 0.4 s before the first key: the owner asked for typing at once with no dead caret time, and the same question returns over the playing street at 27.5 s for a full read (4.0 s).
- World per act: act 1 (0 to 3 s) the noisy street in grey; act 2 (3 to 7.5 s) the search over the dimmed street; act 3 (7.5 to 27.5 s) the same street playing, one machine per bar, then all of it; act 4 (27.5 to 35 s) the search field returns over the playing street; at 31.5 the street and the field fade to a fully black screen, where the official Spotify logo enters from 32.5 and lands on the final hit at 33.5 (D-44, D-45); no non-affiliation line in the film (D-46).
- Negative list: no cuts, no crossfades between scenes, no photos, no AI images, no faces, no stock props, no phone mockup, no album art, no song or artist names, no prices, no superlatives, no brand names on the street (shops and awnings blank), no red as a lane colour, no clipped read words, no words on facades or lamps, no light without a visible source (only lamp cones and the ground pools under the playing machines), no extra parked cars, no floating panel behind the logo, no mirrored play triangle or logo, no answer that appears at once (typed letter by letter).
- Richness floor (brand-film.md): hero_share 30, hero_width 40 for the line, frame_fill 10 of 16, empty_half at most 2 s, depth_layers 3 (sky, far skyline, street, machines and words, interface), in_shot_motion 70 percent, longest_still 1.5 s outside declared holds, surface_detail yes (asphalt grain, windows, the concrete frame and hoarding of the site), light_events 2 (the press ring, the drop), real_material 100 percent (the rebuilt interface and the official logo).

## Stills
Seven style frames from the real build at 1920x1080, updated for the owner fixes (ice/plan/style-frames/v2/): frame-1-noisy-street (2.62 s), frame-2-typing (4.60 s, over the jam), frame-3-top-result (6.40 s), frame-4-street-plays-drop (20.20 s), frame-5-the-line (25.00 s), frame-6-end-card (34.00 s, the logo alone on black), frame-7-the-jam-answers (22.30 s). Stills board for 06: ice/plan/stills-board.png (15 shots, settled stills). The strip is the stage 04 staging board for the drawn street (rough-board.png shows the superseded lane-grid world); shot contracts and rigs: shot-plan.md revision 5. Storyboard strip with timings, 18 stills including the circle landing on the car (7.95 s) and the first backbeat hit of the pile rig (12.03 s): ice/plan/storyboard-strip-v2.png.

## Lint notes (storyboard_lint.py, YELLOW, ice/review/storyboard-lint-v2.txt)
- Shot 1, four units of text in the opening: the four words are the sounds of the four machines on screen, each popping next to its own source (the owner: a word may pop from its source); they are part of the picture, not captions, and each shows only for its firing.
- Shot 2, 0.4 s: the owner asked for typing at once with no dead caret time; the question returns on the end card for a full read.
- Shots 6 to 8, three pushes in a row: the owner asked for a push or a drift toward each machine as it joins (D-38 note 3, D-41); each push starts after a pull back or a travel (the tilt out to the rig from 0.96 to 0.84, the travel to the motorbike), and the fill pulls out to the band at 16.4.
- Shot 4, 1.75 s: the Top result card the owner asked to keep; the press lands on the first downbeat at 7.5 s, so the read is set by the bar.

## Arabic delta table
Out of scope since D-28 (English 16:9 only); revision 2 keeps the Arabic plan for the record.
