# D-14 options: the structure that carries "The street plays along" (D-13)
Runtime date: 2026-10-20. Stage 02, structure step. Files used: ice-film/references/structure.md; film-types/brand-film.md (Structure options, Rhythm ranges, Transition policy); concept ice/plan/concepts.md.

Common to all three (from the concept and the type file): music-led on one tempo grid; the harsh noise section under 6 s; the search pill with Spotify's exact question in the silence after the loudest hit; the street becomes a step sequencer playing your track (maqsum in Arabic, a straight four in English); ending on the unanswered question, then the full logo and the unofficial line held at least 2 s; length inside 35 to 60 s (prompt); one claim: "you choose what you play"; emotional change: from irritated and powerless in noise to in control and moving.

Type-file skeletons considered: "Narrative shapes" (start from a tension gap: chaos versus control), "Stillness that breaks", "One motif, transformed". Rejected outright as skeletons for this concept: "Brand system showcase" (no rebrand), "Archival manifesto" (no archive), "Darkness to light" (light, not sound, is its engine), "It was an ad all along", "Notch or device world", "Image-led spine" (no imagery).

## S-A. Lock-in, row by row (central picture: a chain reaction on a flat typographic grid)
- Device: chain reaction; each noise locks onto the grid, and its first in-time hit triggers the next noise to lock.
- Arc and beats (about 46 s at 120 BPM, a bar is 2 s):
  1. 0.0 to 5.5 Noise (role hook, importance 2): sound words collide out of time across a frontal frame; a car horn word slams in last, the loudest hit.
  2. 5.5 to 9.0 The question (role turn, importance 3): silence; Spotify's search pill holds "What do you want to play?"; a thumb taps the green play control.
  3. 9.0 to 17.0 Lock-in (role product action, importance 2): the horn word drops into row 1 and hits on beat 1; that hit knocks the drill word into row 2; then the engine into the bass row; then the static into the snare row; four bars, one row per bar.
  4. 17.0 to 19.0 Breath (role reset, importance 1): every row holds, one bar of the playhead alone.
  5. 19.0 to 31.0 The street as a drum machine (role hero, importance 3): full grid, all rows playing, the words re-colored per row, the playhead sweeping; the grid widens to reveal more rows (your track's own melody row).
  6. 31.0 to 37.0 Fold (role resolve, importance 2): rows fold upward one by one into the search pill.
  7. 37.0 to 41.0 The question again (role CTA, importance 3): the pill, unanswered, caret blinking.
  8. 41.0 to 46.0 Lockup (role brand, importance 2): full logo on black, then the unofficial line.
- Turn at about 12 percent (cold open on the problem, answer early); energy peak at about 55 percent (beat 5).
- Structure fingerprint: chaos-to-grid chain reaction · 8 beats · sound words, search pill, sequencer grid · opening full of colliding words · closing on the unanswered pill then logo.
- Watch-out: a frontal grid for 12 s can read as a static UI screen (slideshow risk) unless the camera and the rows keep changing.

## S-B. Crane up: the street is the grid (central picture: one continuous camera move through scale)
- Device: one unbroken camera; no cuts until the lockup.
- Arc and beats (about 48 s):
  1. 0.0 to 5.5 Street level (hook, importance 2): the camera low in a street built from type; noise words sit on their sources as signs and objects (a horn word on a car shape, a drill word on a wall), firing out of time; the horn is the loudest hit.
  2. 5.5 to 9.0 The question (turn, importance 3): silence; the camera settles on a phone-height search pill in the street; the thumb taps play.
  3. 9.0 to 21.0 The street locks (build, importance 2): the camera starts to rise on the beat; each source it passes locks to the grid (its word hits on the step), lane by lane.
  4. 21.0 to 23.0 Breath (reset, importance 1): the camera stops rising for one bar; only the playhead moves.
  5. 23.0 to 33.0 From above (hero, importance 3): the crane completes; seen from above, the street's lanes and blocks are a 16-step sequencer and the traffic is the playhead; the whole city plays your track.
  6. 33.0 to 39.0 Descent (resolve, importance 2): the camera falls back down, the grid tightening into the search pill.
  7. 39.0 to 43.0 The question again (CTA, importance 3): the pill fills the frame, caret blinking.
  8. 43.0 to 48.0 Lockup (brand, importance 2).
- Turn at about 12 percent; energy peak at about 58 percent (beat 5, the top of the crane).
- Structure fingerprint: street-to-map continuous crane · 8 beats, 1 shot · sound words on street objects, search pill, street-grid · opening at street level mid-noise · closing as the camera descends into the pill, then logo.
- Watch-out: a continuous camera with type in perspective is costly; Arabic words in perspective must keep their dots readable (consultant); risk of a screensaver feel if the rise is even.

## S-C. Split street, before and after (central picture: a before and after split, wiped by the playhead)
- Device: before and after on screen at once; the playhead is the dividing line.
- Arc and beats (about 44 s):
  1. 0.0 to 5.5 Noise (hook, importance 2): the whole frame is the noisy street out of time.
  2. 5.5 to 9.0 The question (turn, importance 3): silence; the pill; the tap.
  3. 9.0 to 25.0 The playhead pass (build, importance 2): a vertical playhead line sweeps across the frame every bar (left to right in English, right to left in Arabic); behind it the street is in time and in color, ahead of it still grey and out of time; each pass converts more of the street.
  4. 25.0 to 27.0 Breath (reset, importance 1): the playhead stops at the middle; half grey, half color, one bar of contrast.
  5. 27.0 to 35.0 Full color (hero, importance 3): the last pass converts the whole street; the grid plays in full.
  6. 35.0 to 39.0 The question again (CTA, importance 3).
  7. 39.0 to 44.0 Lockup (brand, importance 2).
- Turn at about 12 percent, then a long accumulation; energy peak at about 70 percent.
- Structure fingerprint: before-after split wiped by a playhead · 7 beats · sound words, playhead line, search pill · opening full of noise · closing on the pill then logo.
- Watch-out: half the frame is grey for 16 s, which works against the richness floor and the brand color budget; the wipe can feel like a transition effect rather than a story.
