Green screen ad
ConsultasAbogado.com (unofficial concept; not made by or for the advertiser)., talking-head-ad. How it was made with Ice Motion Director, from the prompt to the delivered film.
An unofficial concept made with Ice Motion Director. It is not an ad by or for ConsultasAbogado.com or any law firm, and was not made with their knowledge. The presenter footage, the logo and the site belong to their owners; stock footage and music are used under the licences listed in the credits. Al Jazeera's reel served only as an editing reference: no Al Jazeera material is in the film.

The prompt
Edit the raw video raw.mp4 in exactly the same editing style as the Al Jazeera reel in reference.mp4, with the raw's own content and with Al Jazeera's identity as it is. Look for the most recent real, official footage that fits and download it, and you're allowed to download any model or tool you need. Don't ask me the starting questions, decide yourself, but show me the preview before you build the video.

Before and after
The raw source, cut to the same parts in the same order, plays against the finished edit.
The source: studio take (green screen presenter ad), YouTube video, “Anchor Green Screen”, published by Sagar Taskar (YouTube channel), 1:10 long. Open the source
Ice kept 1:09 of it, in 1 parts:
- 0:00 to 1:09
Why these parts
The take is a 70 second scripted ad with no retakes, no slips and short pauses, so the whole of it was kept in one continuous piece: cutting the pauses would save under 3 seconds and put jump cuts on a locked camera. Only the 0.4 second silence at the head and the tail after the last word were trimmed.
How it got here
The run as it happened, draft by draft, with every round of the owner's feedback. Told from the conversation in the case study.
The prompt
One message: recut a 70 second green screen take of a presenter in the editing style of an Al Jazeera English explainer reel, keep the take's own words, find the latest real and official footage, install whatever is needed, ask no questions, but show a preview before the build. The raw turned out to be an ad: a presenter telling US attorneys that a Spanish-language directory, ConsultasAbogado.com, brings them Hispanic clients.
Reading the raw and the reference
The reference (193 s) was measured frame by frame: a red disc behind the people each line names, big keywords, a virtual studio, cards, splits and a branded end card. The raw is one clean take on an even green (RGB 52, 156, 60); three key settings were compared on a red ground and the softest one kept the suit and hair intact. A local Whisper model transcribed the take word by word.

Finding who the ad is for
Whisper heard "consultasavogado.com". The Internet Archive had the real site: ConsultasAbogado.com, "Directorio de Abogados, Encuentra Abogados en tu idioma", online 2013 to 2021, offline today. Its home page was captured from the archive to show the product doing its job.
The paper edit
Every spoken sentence kept, in order, as one continuous take with no internal cut: the speaker has no retakes and short pauses, so cutting would only add jump cuts. 0.40 s trimmed at the head; 69.0 s of speech. Captions were split by hand into phrases of 2 to 6 words, timed to the words.
First frames in the reference look
The presenter keyed into 2070 frames with transparency, a studio wall built from NASA's Blue Marble with Latin America tinted, the reference's lower third, captions, progress bar and end card. The first proof stills.

Real footage
An agent sourced 13 items with their licences: a 2024 naturalization ceremony (National Park Service, public domain), the Capitol (Architect of the Capitol), a federal courtroom (Library of Congress, public domain), a 2019 parade with US flags (CC BY 2.0, credited on screen) and Pexels clips for the consultation, the phone, the lawyers and the portraits. Cutouts were made with a local background-removal model; the phone's green screen was replaced by the archived site.

An approver checks the plan
A separate approver checked stages 01 to 04 item by item and held three of them: wrong line end times, too many lines graded as key, a storyboard that disagreed with the scene file, the site capture missing from the footage ledger. Fixed over three rounds, then approved.
Three notes from the owner
Sound: no music or effect made by code, only real library recordings, three candidate tracks to choose from. Silhouettes: the darkened figure in the red disc is the person the line talks about, never the speaker, who stays lit; every element must name the sentence that triggers it. Finishing: measure the reference's motion blur, blur, film texture, vignette, glow and grade, and apply them for the same reasons. A trigger table was written for every element, and an agent measured the finishing frame by frame (it found no vignette and no grain outside the title card, so none was added).
Preview 1: the reference look
A half resolution animatic of the whole film with three 25 second music versions. A cold viewer who never saw the brief understood the ad, but said it read as a news report; a SPONSORED tag was added under the bug.

Approved, track 1
The owner approved the preview and picked the first track. The full resolution render started on drive D, since drive C had under 2 GB free.
The turn: not a news piece
Before the render finished, a new note from the owner stopped it: the raw is an ad for ConsultasAbogado.com, not news, so it must not come out as an Al Jazeera piece. Remove the whole Al Jazeera identity, keep the editing craft (rhythm, triggers, finishing, captions, real sound, splits, cards) and move to a trusted, premium look for a legal service, in the brand's own identity if it can be found.
The brand's own identity
An older archive capture (2018) held the official logo, a rook in an arch with "ConsultasAbogado.com", and the site's colours: navy #0B1753, green #44BE37, logo blue #18A5C9, with Montserrat headings and Open Sans text. The map, the light behind the subjects, the cards, the lower third and the end card were all redrawn in that identity. The news devices went: red, scanlines, film burn, datelines.

Preview 2: the brand look
The dark tension track no longer fitted, so three calm corporate tracks were sourced (no Content ID mark) and the effects swapped for softer real recordings. A cold viewer read the storyboard: clear, mostly premium; four fixes followed (the site card covering the face, a washed-out keyword, bright off-brand footage, a hard-to-read green word).

Approved, closest track
The owner approved the new look without naming a track, and asked for the one closest to the reference by measurement. Tempo, spectral centre, low-end share and onset rate picked c2 "Motivational".

The brand test
A cold viewer understood the final film, but a rival directory could have used it with a logo swap. Two fixes: the site's own promise, "Encuentra Abogados en tu idioma", under the logo on the title and end cards, and the site's three feature columns enlarged on the screen so they read on a phone.

Delivered
72.7 s at 1080x1920, 30 fps: spec OK, -13.9 LUFS and -1.4 dBTP, no black, white or frozen frames apart from the end card hold. Delivered with an un-captioned master, captions, transcript, edit list, stems and a report that names what was not checked: nobody listened to the mix during the run.

Decisions
D-01 Unasked stage 01 slots
- platform vertical 9:16 1080x1920 30 fps (the reference's own format); length = the raw speech, about 69 s plus a 4 s end card; commercial use yes (it is an ad); language English; music: a quiet bed, decided at 08; voice: the presenter's own; captions burned in plus SRT.Chosen
each value follows from the reference or the footage; nothing here changes the user's words.
Source: BRIEF slots; ffprobe; reference ANALYSIS.md
D-03 Identity mode
- A, as the user asked ("بهوية الجزيرة زي ما هي").Chosen
- A: as is (logo bug, lower thirds, studio, end card from the reference)
- B: the reference's grammar in a neutral identity
- C: the reference's grammar in ConsultasAbogado.com's colours
the user's words; rights are the user's (ice-remake rights-and-modes section 1). Two guard rails added: the name lower third reads "SPONSORED" (D-04) and the delivery note lists Al Jazeera's permission as required before publishing.
D-04 Name lower third
- A.Chosen
- A: "CONSULTASABOGADO.COM" + tab "SPONSORED"
- B: an invented name + "AL JAZEERA"
- C: no lower third
never invent a name; claiming the presenter is an Al Jazeera journalist would turn an ad into fake journalism; the system itself (white box, crimson text, dark tab) is kept exactly.
D-05 Cut policy
- one continuous take from source 0.40 s to 69.40 s, no internal cuts; scene changes happen on the graphics and cutaways only.Chosen
Why, and its source
locked-off camera, no retakes; pauses of 0.24 to 1.24 s between words (ASR times, the longest 0.76 s at 3.30 and 1.24 s at 13.64); trimming every pause to 0.3 s would save about 2.9 s but put a jump cut on a locked-off camera at each join; the two long pauses carry the question keyword and the title card. Reference pacing (a new visual state every 1.3 to 4 s) comes from the scene plan, not from trimming speech.
D-08 B-roll sourcing
- US government public domain first (USCIS, Census, Library of Congress Highsmith archive, DVIDS), then Wikimedia Commons free licences, then free stock video; every item in ice/assets/broll/sources.json with its licence.Chosen
user asked for the latest real, official footage.
D-10 End card
- the reference's own end card (189.4 to 193.1 s) is used as it is; the ring wipe before it is rebuilt around our presenter.Chosen
identity as is; the end card holds Al Jazeera's own handles and icons, which must not be redrawn.
D-11 The claim "fastest growing"
- stays in the captions as spoken; never a keyword or a graphic. Keyword for that shot: "GROWING COMMUNITY".Chosen
Source: ice/research/COMPLIANCE.md
D-12 The number "62 MILLION"
- shown with the source line "U.S. CENSUS 2020" (62.1 million).Chosen
Source: Pew Research chart "U.S. Hispanic population reached 70 million in 2025" (checked 2026-10-28)
D-13 Ad label
- A.Chosen
- A: a red "SPONSORED" tag under the logo bug for the whole film, plus the lower-third tab
- B: the lower-third tab only
- C: a full-screen disclaimer card
an ad in a news brand's identity must not pass as journalism (COMPLIANCE.md, platform branded-content rules); A keeps the reference's layout intact.
D-15 Edit approach (stage 02)
- A.Chosen
- A: one continuous take recomposed into the reference's systems, picture state changes switched on by the words (TRIGGERS.md)
- B: trim pauses and cut to a 60 s version
- C: keep the 16:9 frame with graphics only
the speech has no retakes and short pauses (D-05); the reference's rhythm comes from its graphics and cutaways (mean shot 3.79 s, analyze.py), which A reproduces.
Source: ice/plan/concepts.md (takeaway); ice/reference/aj-reels/TRIGGERS.md; analysis/report.json pacing
D-16 Frame rate
- film at 30 fps; the presenter frames were conformed with FFmpeg's fps=30 (nearest-frame, timestamp exact): 2 repeated frames in 69 s, never more than half a frame of lip offset.Chosen
delivery matches the reference format; the offset stays under the one-frame lip-drift limit (ingest-and-ledger section 2). Deviation from the rule "change the film's rate to the footage's" is recorded here.
D-17 Silhouettes, removed elements, finishing
- the presenter is never a silhouette (the darkened figure in the red disc is always the subject the line names); elements with no trigger in the words were removed (TRIGGERS.md section C); finishing (blur, motion blur, texture, vignette, glow, grade) follows the measurements in ice/reference/aj-reels/FINISHING.md.Chosen
Source: user notes relayed by the parent session (2026-10-29), quoted:
D-19 Identity: the advertiser's own, not Al Jazeera's
- A.Chosen
- A: the advertiser's identity on the reference's edit grammar
- B: a neutral premium legal look
- C: keep Al Jazeera
the user's words; the site's own material exists and carries trust (navy) and action (green).
D-22 Track for the final
- c2 Motivational (331music, 112.3 BPM).Chosen
- c1 Confident Corporate Story
- c2 Motivational
- c3 Corporate Ambient (all Pixabay Content License
- no Content ID mark)
nearest to the reference bed measured on its voice-free stretches (130 BPM, centroid about 1.4 kHz, 68% energy under 150 Hz, 4.7 onsets/s): distance 0.50 against c3 0.73 and c1 1.36 (tempo, log centroid, low-energy share and onset rate; librosa 0.11).
